RULES for the 2016 World Kettlebell Competition

2016 World Championship Rules and Regulations

1.Purpose(Aims) and objectives.
- Promotion and development of kettlebell lifting;
- The strengthening of friendship between peoples and cooperation in sport;
- Finding out the strongest kettlebell - lifters of the world.

2.Date and location/venue.
26-60 October 2016, the competition is held in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aktobe c., at Prospect Abulhair - Khan 52, Sports Palace "Konys".
The detailed schedule of the competition will be made after the completion of the pre-registration of all participants.

3.Management of the competitions.
The general management of the organization and running the competitions performs by the International Union of Kettlebell Lifting (IUKL).
The direct running the competitions is charged with organizers of the competition on the competition location/venue and IUKL.

4.Participants and conditions of running the competitions.
According to the rules, the competition is open to all countries - members of IUKL.
Athletes are allowed to compete only by the request of the national federation, organization or representative of a country.
National federations with state recognition (accreditation) in their own countries, form a team on the basis of their internal rules.
Organizations that do not have the status of recognized (accredited) national federations in their countries, should conduct qualifying competition by IUKL rules in their countries to determine the strongest athletes and team formation.
The results of the qualifying competition must be publicly available. In case of the violation of these conditions, the admission of participants from a given country is determined by the decision of the IUKL Board.
The competition is open to athletes whose countries (organizations) are not IUKL members and do not have the representatives in it. Their access is determined by personal IUKL invitation and special financial conditions of participation in the competition.
Each National Federation (country) has the right to declare in a group of professionals only one competitor in each weight class in all kinds of individual competition program.

The composition of the team of professionals - 59 people, including 12 specialists, including 1 team manager, 1 head of the team, 4 judges not lower than national category (1 judge for every 10 athletes), 6 coaches, 1 masseur – doctor, 36 athletes, of which:
- Biathlon: men - 7 people; juniors - 7 people;
- Long cycle: Men - 7 people; juniors - 7 people;
- Jerk: Women - 4 people; juniors - 4 people.
- Relay race (classic push): Men - 5 people; juniors - 5 people
The composition of the teams of amateurs and seniors (by weight categories and age groups) - arbitrary.
The results of performance of the juniors may go into adults’ set off appearance in the same weight category in the absence of participants from this country among adults and paid entry fee.
To take a part in the Relay race each country may enter only one team in the “Professional” group and “Amateur” group. To participate in the relay there’s can be stated as a separate part of the athletes so sportsmen, who participated earlier in the other disciplines.
The team should have a single form with the symbol of their country. The delegation, which arrived to the competition should have a flag and the record of the national anthem on CD.
The responsibility for the level of training and the health of the participants, are on the heads of delegations.
Participants under 19 years, as an exception, may be admitted to the competition among adults with the appropriate sports training, a doctor's certificate, and the Board's decision IUKL, after prior agreement.
In the course of the competition provided for doping control and registration of the highest achievements.

5.Competition program.

5.1.Professionals
Men, juniors (1994 d.b. and younger) – kettlebell’s weight 32 kg.
Weight categories till 63 kg; till 68 kg; till 73 kg; till 78 kg; till 85 kg;  till 95 kg; over 95 kg.

- Long cycle
- Relay race (short push) 5 pls. х 3min.
Women, junior (1994 d.b. and younger) – kettlebell’s weight 24 kg
Weight categories till 58 kg; till 63 kg; till 68 kg; over 68 kg.
- Snatch

5.2. Amateurs
Men – kettlebell’s weight 24 kg
Weight categories till 63 kg; till 68 kg; till 73 kg; till 78 kg; till 85 kg;  till 95 kg; over 95 kg.
- Biathlon
- Long cycle
Women – kettlebell’s weight 16 kg
Weight categories till 58 kg; till 63 kg; till 68 kg; over 68 kg.
- Snatch

5.3. Seniors (veterans).
Age groups, Weight categories and kettlebell’s weight

MEN SENIORS (VETERANS) – from 40 years old and older with the gap/interval of 5 years.
Age groups: 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75+
Weight categories and the kettlebtlls’ weight: 40-44 – till63kg; till73rg; till85kg; till95kg; up than 95kg – 24kg;
45-49 – till 63kg; till 73kg; till 85kg; till 95kg;  up than 95kg – 24kg;
50-54 – till 73kg; till 85kg; till 95kg;  up than 95kg – 24kg;
55-59 – till 73kg; till 85kg; till 95kg; up than 95kg – 24kg;
60-64 – till 73kg; till 85kg; till 95kg;  up than 95 kg – 16kg;
65-69 – till 73kg; till 85kg;  up than 85kg – 16kg;
70-74 – till 78kg; up than 78kg – 12kg;
+75 – absolute category – 12kg.

WOMEN SENIORS (VETERANS) – from 35 and older with the gap/interval of 5 years.
Age groups: 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65+
Weight categories and the kettlebtlls’ weight: 35-39 - till 63kg; till 68kg; up than 68kg – 16kg;
              40-44 - till 63kg; till 68kg; up than 68kg – 16kg;
              45-49 - till 63kg; till 68kg; up than 68kg – 16kg;
              50-54 - till 68kg; up than 68kg – 12kg;
              55-59 - till 68kg; up than 68kg – 12kg;
              60-64 – absolute category – 8kg;
              +65 – absolute category – 8kg.

Men: Biathlon, long cycle, team relay.
Women: snatch.

Notice:
Competition schedule (by day), start lists in competitive disciplines will be posted on the IUKL’s website after pre-registration, i.e. after 10th September 2016, after receiving the registered applications, and also the cards for each participant and fulfill all financial obligations of the participating organizations. The sample/example of the application and membership card, You can see in Appendix number 1.


6.Winners election and rewarding.

    Individual championship is determined in all the sports disciplines in accordance with the competition rules IUKL.
    The Ground Jury is given the right to form a competitive teams in the competition among seniors (veterans), depending on the number of registered participants.
Winners in the team rating/placing are determined separately in the World Cup, separately in the junior’s world championship, separately among seniors (veterans).
In the credit of team championship at the World Cup and Juniors' World Championship included the 5 best results in men and juniors accordingly, and 2 the best results among women and junior women respectively in individual types of programs. In case that for the 1st place credits/accrues 20 points, for the second - 18 the third - 16 for each subsequent place one point less.
In calculating of team championship the results of amateur (Scoring) is made by following table only
     after the results of the "Professionals".

In case of the same number of points the advantage is given to the team that has more number of 1, 2,  3, and so on. etc.places.

Team scoring is performed by one composition for each of the participating countries.
Participants who took the 1-3 place in the individual competition, in each cometition group are awarded with medals and diplomas.
           Teams ranked 1-3 in the relay race are awarded with cups, athletes - medals.
           Teams ranked 1-3 in the team event: separately on the world championship, separately at the World Cup among juniors and separately on the world championship among seniors (veterans) are awarded cups and diplomas.
7.Financial expenses.
Costs related to the organization and conduct of the competition is the organizers of the place of the competition and IUKL.
The costs associated with the participation of athletes in competitions (travel, meals, accommodation, participation fees) are compensated by sportsmen or the organizations.

Personal license cost per year:
Professionals, amateurs, veterans - 60 EUR.

Personal annual license gives the entitlement to participate in all official competitions IUKL during the calendar year.

The entry fees for participation in the competition:
Professionals
Biathlon (Men & Male junior) - 80 EUR
Long cycle (Men & Male junior) - 80 EUR
Snatch (Women & Female junior) - 80 EUR
Relay = 25 EUR/per 1 participant = 125 EUR/per 1 team (in case of whole team performance)
Amateurs
Biathlon (Men) - 70 EUR
Long cycle (Men) - 70 EUR
Snatch (Women) - 70 EUR
Relay = 20 EUR/per 1 participant = 100 EUR/per 1 team (in case of whole team performance)
Veterans
Biathlon (Men) - 70 EUR
Long cycle (Men) - 70 EUR
Snatch (Women) - 70 EUR
Relay = 20 EUR/per 1 participant = 100 EUR/per 1 team (in case of whole team performance)

Personal annual license and entry fees for participation in the competition can be prepaid on the bank account of IUKL not later, than ten days prior to the date of realization of competitions or can be prepaid in cash at passing of registration on competitions.

Athletes and teams from countries that are not IUKL members pay a double personal license and entry fee.
Athletes and teams from the IUKL, its members-countries have to pay the double personal license and entry fee for the participation in case their country did not pay an annual membership fee for 2016, on the competition date.
Entry fees at non-appearance athlete will not be returned!

Entry applications should be submitted before September 10, 2016. If entry applications are submitted after the September 10, 2016 participation fees are paid in double amount.

8.Applications/Squads.

Registered applications, cards to all members of the delegation (form on the website IUKL, www.giri-iukl.com), the nominal list for the opening of the visa in Kazakhstan are submitted to the Organizing Committee at the venue of the competition, see: the_champion1@mail.ru .
The application must be certified by the head of the Federation of Kettlebell Lifting of the country, which the team represents.
The application shall include all members of the delegation, including judges.
In the application and in the card the weight class of the athlete, in which he intends to act is pointed.

The participant's card is filled for each competitive format, including relay race.
Adds and re- squads are excluded, which includes the translation of the athlete to another weight class. Entry fees at non-appearance of the athlete will not be returned.
